This is an important announcement for Android OS users with a version lower than 7.1.
Super Mario Run's supported Android devices will change in conjunction with an update in Fall 2026. After the update is distributed, Android devices with an operating system lower than 7.1 will be unable to download or update the game. In addition, previous versions of the game will become unplayable.
If you are using an Android OS lower than 7.1, you may want to consider updating to the current OS.
The day and time of the update is subject to change.

■Reason for Change for Android Devices
To continue offering the best service possible, we can no longer support the OS versions noted above. Therefore, you may need to update your device if you wish to continue playing.
■How to Check Your Android OS Version
To check your current OS version, from the home screen of your device select Settings, Device Information, and then Android Version.
Note: Different devices may display information differently or have items in different locations.
Note: Please refer to your device's official site for information regarding specific specifications, including OS updates.
■For Those Changing Smartphone Models
If you plan on changing your device model, follow the steps below to access Super Mario Run save data.
- Accessing save data
If Super Mario Run was previously linked to a Nintendo Account, you can use the same save data on a different device using the same device platform.

You can confirm your purchase status through the Google Account you used during the purchase. Note that this account is not your Nintendo Account. Please keep the following in mind.
- If the new device is an Android OS device:
Use the same Google Account that you originally used to purchase the game to download and install Super Mario Run on your new device. Then, launch the game and tap Restore Purchase from the purchase screen in World Tour. This will allow you to restore your purchase status without repurchasing the game.
Note: There may be a limit to the number of devices on which you can restore purchases. - If the new device is a different device platform than your old one:
The purchase status cannot be carried over between different device platforms. Please be aware that you will need to repurchase the content in order to play all courses.
■Linking a Nintendo Account
A Nintendo Account gives you access to My Nintendo and other Nintendo services. Registration is free.
If you already have a Nintendo Account, select Link from Menu in the game to link to it.
Please link Super Mario Run to your Nintendo Account on your new device (on the first launch of the game) after you have already linked Super Mario Run to your Nintendo Account on your old device.
If it is already linked, Menu then My Nintendo will be displayed.
Also, be aware that if you go to Settings, About This App, and then choose Delete Save Data, all save data will be erased and cannot be recovered.
